Palestine (The Inside Palestine)- Pop singer Dua Lipa has hit back at a full-page advertisement in the New York Times which attacked her, along with models Bella and Gigi Hadid, for their support of Palestine and accusing them of anti-semitic.

She added, โ€œThis is the price you pay for defending Palestinian human rights against an Israeli government whose actions in Palestine both Human Rights Watch and Israeli human rights Bโ€™tselem accuse of persecution and discrimination.โ€

The ad from the World Values Network refers to Lipa and models Bella and Gigi Hadid as “mega-influencers” who have “vilified the Jewish state” and “accused Israel of ethnic cleansing.”

The accusation came after celebrities show their support for Palestinians during the recent aggression on the Gaza Strip, as 248 Palestinians, including 66 children and 39 women, were killed and at least 1,910 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on the besieged enclave, according to Gazaโ€™s ministry of health.

Many celebrities show their support for Palestine, including singers Roger Waters, Zayn, The Weeknd, and Malik zayn.

A group of Palestinian activists, represented in Palestine Online, VPalestine, Palestine SunBird, and Palestine Defense Forces teams, who saw it as an attempt to silence prominent pro-Palestinian voices, speak out in solidarity with Dua Lipa and condemn the waging campaign against Bellah, Gigi Hadid, and Dula Lipa that accusing them of being anti-semitic for their outspoken advocacy for Palestinian human rights, assure that the Israeli lobby in the US must stop doing this.

The activists speak out and stand with Dua Lipa, saying:

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, head of World Values Network, not only paid for the ad in the New York Times but also launched a fundraising promotion through the Gofundme website. The promotion aims to launch new campaigns against celebrities and other supporters of Palestinian rights.

The Palestinian activists, show their disapproval and anger against the promotion and reported it, asserting that the promotion spread hatred and racism against the Palestinians and their supporters as well.

They said “This racist is asking his followers to raise funds for a racist and delusional ad targeting celebrities over their support for Palestinian human rights. He falsely accused them of supporting a second Holocaust and being antisemites.”
