Jenin (The Inside Palestine)- Three Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire amid a raid early on Sunday in the occupied West Bank’s Jenin , reported the Palestinian Wafa agency.
The attack was followed by a storming of the Al-Jabriat and Al-Hadaf neighbourhoods, located nearby the Jenin refugee camp.
The Palestinian Red Crescent in Jenin confirmed to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, which serves as The New Arab’s Arabic-language sister site, that ambulance crews dealt with three injuries during the violence that erupted. One person, who is 18 years-old, is said to in critical condition after being seriously wounded by a live bullet which hit him in the chest.
Meanwhile, the other two Palestinians, who are aged 20 and 27 years-old respectively, were injured in the stomach and the lower limbs, and their conditions are reported to be moderate.
The victims are receiving treatment at Ibn Sina hospital, according to Wafa.
Moreover, more violence erupted between Palestinian youth and Israeli occupation forces during an army raid on Nazareth Street and Haifa Street, also in Jenin, though no casualties were reported.
Sunday’s aggression follows a series of conducted raids by the Israeli army in Jenin and other Palestinian cities, towns and villages in the West Bank.
Earlier this week, Israeli soldiers injured dozens of Palestinians with tear gas during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp, where they arrested three Palestinians, two of whom were later released.
Palestinians in the West Bank, which has been illegally occupied by Israel following the 1967 invasion, are regularly subjected to violence, threats and intimidation at the hands of Israeli forces.
