West Bank (The Inside Palestine) – Israeli colonial settlers set Palestinian fields ablaze in Huwara town in the occupied northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian official in charge of monitoring settlement activity in the northern West Bank, said that a group of Israeli colonial settlers from the illegal settlement of “Yitzhar” set fire to a large tract of farmland in the north of Huwara.

Daghlas added that local citizens managed to contain and put out the fire.

Israeli colonial settlers have recently escalated their attacks against Palestinian civilians and their property in the occupied West Bank as perpetrators are rarely held to account by the Israeli occupation authorities.

Nablus is surrounded by more than 40 illegal Israeli settlements and outposts with Israeli colonial settlers continuing to encroach on Palestinian lands to expand these illegal settlements and outposts under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.

More than 600,000 Israeli colonial settlers now live in more than 250 illegal settlements built on vast tracts of occupied Palestinian territory in the occupied West Bank in a blatant violation of international law.
