Occupied Jerusalem (The Inside Palestine)_ The Israeli occupation army on Monday handed three Palestinian citizens demolition orders against their homes in Ya’bad town, southwest of Jenin.

Ya’bad mayor Amjad Atatira said that owners of three homes under construction received demolition ultimatums at the pretext of their location in an archeological area.

For decades, Israel has pursued a policy of forced eviction and demolition of homes of Palestinians living under occupation in the Palestinian territories.

Every year, the scale of the destruction carried out by the Israeli occupation authority in the West Bank and Jerusalem escalates and reaches an unprecedented level.

The victims are often amongst the poorest and most disadvantaged in the occupied Palestinian areas. Most of the houses demolished by the Israeli army in the West Bank and Jerusalem were the homes of refugee families, who were expelled by Israeli forces or who fled in the war that followed the creation of Israel in 1948.
