Occupied Jerusalem (The Inside Palestine)- The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) displaced on Sunday morning a Palestinian family after demolishing its house in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers escorted by police forces stormed Jabel Mukaber and embarked on demolishing a two-story house belonging to Rateb Matar and his detained brother Husam.

A member of the family reportedly suffered a rubber bullet injury in his hand after police officers assaulted local residents who gathered near the house.

A family of eight was living in the house, which had been built about 15 years ago. The family already paid 700,000 Shekels in fines to the Israeli municipality.

In another incident, the Israeli occupation army notified Palestinian citizens in Zuwaidin area in the east of Yatta, south of al-Khalil, of its intent to demolish four homes and two agricultural structures belonging to them.

Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that the owners of those homes and structures had received three months ago military stop-work orders against their property, but the Israeli army changed these orders today to demolition and removal measures.
