Jerusalem (The Inside Palestine) – A Belgian lawmaker has called for imposing sanctions against the extremist Israeli occupation government over its war crimes against the Palestinian people.

Speaking before parliament, Simon Moutquin said that the stance taken by Belgium and the European Union is tantamount to a “license to kill.”

Moutquin explained that 2023 is the deadliest year for the Palestinian people, pointing to the repeated violent raids and attacks conducted by the Israeli occupation army and Israeli colonial settlers across the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli occupation has killed 74 Palestinians since the start of the year, Moutquin added.

The Belgian MP called for banning the import of products manufactured in the illegal Israeli settlements and summoning the Israeli ambassador to Belgium to protest against the violence inflicted by the Israeli occupation government upon the Palestinian people.
